DIY Savage Action Stock Bedding Studs

Just recently did a bedding job on a model 700 and for the 1st time used Power Custom Action Bedding Studs. Used one of the nuts to hand tighten the action to the stock. After the epoxy set up firm placed the second nuts on the studs and tightened them up against the 1st nut. Was then able to remove the barreled action by just tightening the nuts a half turn and then removing the studs.

It was such an easy removal that I decided to make some studs for Savage actions. Started with 1/4-28 bolts and cut off the head with a dremel cut-off wheel. Then used shrink wrap to encase the top portion of stud in the area of the stock pillar. Finished it up with a couple of nuts.

Cool deal I was thinking of doing something similar... Have to bed my new build very soon and was thinking the studs would be nice to use.
