My neighbors wife asked me to get a set of hunting binos for her to give her husband for his B-day. Budget is $150. I have no idea where to start on this. I have a set of $80 Nikons that work fine for me, but I would love to get him a really sweet set of binos. So if you had $150 budget for hunting binos what would you get?

Those Vortex are pretty good, have a friend that has them and he likes them. I've looked through them and they are really nice for what they cost.
I think that Doug's deal is only good for a day or two so don't wait too long.
Id go on Ebay and go to used Bausch&Lomb binoculars. Then type in Zepher model, and look for a set in mint condition.
Your looking at $1000 optics in todays market that will sell for anywhere from $100/$200 today on ebay.
They are very lightweight and will still blow away the cheaper optics sold today and will rival the very good ones.
7x35s will be the most common and as a result more reasonable than 8x30s or 9x35s which are more rare to find.
Definitely look at the Vortex binos. They are a great value and offer a great product. Also they carry their VIP warranty so if you dropped them out of a tree stand on a rock they will fix or replace them.
