Seen guys shooting small critters out to 300yards with the 17grain VMAX ammo. How much more match do you need for a Rimfire?
Do you think they will ever make 17 HMR Match Grade Ammo?
I would pay 'extra' for some!

Until some sanctioning body endorses a .17 cal match course, you are stuck with all the .17 HMR "match" grade ammo that's out there now.
"As long as there's lead in the air....there's still hope.."
You might try "making" your own.
I knew a guy years ago who would sort all his rimfire ammo by weight into lots. Accuracy would always improve dramatically over unsorted. His sorted ammo would often out shoot high dollar match stuff. Usually the largest sorted batch proved to be the most accurate. He would relegate the others to plinkers. I think he also used a gauge to check rim thickness.
Worth trying perhaps....
If you can find some, the Federal 17gr V-Max shoots really well in all of the 17HMR's I have tried with it.
Had a Savage 93R17V that would shoot 1" groups with Hornady V-Max. Switched to Federal V-Max and it shot 1/2" groups.
Had a H&R Sportster 17 HMR that shot 1.5" groups with Hornady V-Max. Switched to Federal V-Max and it shot 5/8" groups.
Have a CZ 452 American that shot 1.25" groups with Hornady V-Max. Switched to Federal V-Max and it shoots 1/2" groups.
I have found all offerings from CCI, Remington, & Winchester to not group worth a darn in any of my 17's. Believe me I've tried every one. 17gr & 20gr. V-Max & JHP.
Your results may vary.
