    .223 short or long action?


    Ordering a Boyds stock is this a long or short action?

    Sorry....didn't notice that it was in the Axis forum.....I have no idea about Axis action lengths.

    All Axis receivers are the same length, the difference in short/long action is the magazine and magazine opening in the stock. For 223 you need the short action.

    I don't know why Boyd's insists on confusing people with this, the question really should be Magazine Length: short action/long action.
