What stock options do I have for the Mark II FV-SR?

Just bought my first Savage, the Mark II FV-SR, future host to my AAC Element II suppressor. I haven't heard the greatest reviews about the stock and was curious what options are currently out there for me? I've only seen 1 so far but there's gotta be more ... right?!

What Boyd stock model is it and was it a drop-in or you needed to do some fitting to it?

Boyd's stock - Tacticool. I think they are now named Pro Varmint because I don't see Tacticoool listed anymore but the Pro Varmint is now listed. 100% drop in. I also used DIP bottom metal and trigger guard kit.

    Cheekrest - Midway Product #: 756034

    ChattanoogaPhil,

On the Boyd's drop-down menu for the rifle models I don't see the FV-SR. Which model should I choose, is that the MARK II at the very bottom of the list? Also, did you need to replace any of the original screws/bolt to mount it on the Boyd stock? Thanks

Yes MKII. You won't need any other hardware for just the stock, but you will of course need the trigger guard. Instead of just getting a trigger guard, get the trigger guard and bottom metal kit from DIP. All harder is supplied.

Dip is closing out the Boyd thumb hole stock....$99.00 or $145.00 with hardware.....
even if it says bull barrel.....it works fine with standard or sport barrel.

DIP makes good products :) their B-Mag trigger guard came from me , Bob had them make it off the plastic one I sent him
the DIP Henry rifle H001 ( Sorry ) scope mount and the Savage A17 ( fits the A22) mounts fit perfect

I am thinking about replacing the original stock market its a Boyd's and want to know if I can drop drop in the receiver and barrel without the extra work I've read about. I've seen a few YouTube videos where they just swapped the stock.

I am also looking at the boyd's pro varmint stock. If I am reading the description right will the pro varmint stock with the raised cheek rest fit the fv-sr?
