Was able to get to the range this morning to tweak seating depths on 73gr Bergers. Torn between 1.960" (.010" off lands) and 1.945"(.025" off lands), although 1.960" looks the best. Was also trying to get my old, old 1903A1 6x284 on paper but only ended up messing up other targets. :) Agree LR ya gotta love Shilens and Bergers.

id stick to the 1.960 and try .1 or .2 grains in both directions if it didnt tighten up try a different primer...but thats a good load for sure.

:) Groups in the .3"s get notice, in the .2"s get mention, and in the .1"s, Bingo!, happy, happy, happy!

I believe the factory barrel was light varmint from the factory as the Weather Warrior model 16. The Shilen barrel is a bull barrel. .900" at the muzzle.

Was able to get to the range this morning after a 2 week rain delay. Did some comparisons between primers and .1gr load differences per Long Range's suggestions. I probably should have just stayed home, I just didn't seem to be on my game. Interesting that I didn't meet or beat my best group load using the BR4s but the rem 7/12 primers seem to be the most consistent. It definitely has got me scratching my head. Probably will just have to load up at 21.5gr and both BRs and Rem 7/12 and see.

the 21.5 and rem 7.5s is your load...the holes outside the groups are you...im sure you noticed..the first group is bad because the first group is always bad LOL...then notice you settled in and started shooting for 3 groups and then(i bet money)you either got frustrated because you werent getting the 1 hole groups youve been looking for,or you just really got bored and didnt really want to be shooting or like you said just not on your game...id call that 21.5g rem 7.5 combo good and shoot it.
