Savage 10T in 6.5CM

Been on the phone most of the morning trying to get answers from either cabelas or savage. Cabelas took my info and forwarding to the head firearms person in charge. Should get a call monday. Got bounced around savage departments. Left a message on the 3rd department for a call back. Cabelas did say it was in the system. Savage special orders department verified it was an exclusive to cabelas but didn't see any orders active from cabelas. If savage calls me back, will ask if I have to special order this rifle or if it will be stocked at all stores. If I can get one, will use this to change chassis and other things instead of paying 1200 bucks for the stealth.

24 inch bull barrel. Not fluted.

If you wanna go for 1000 yards I would opt for a 26 inch barrel

The 10t is a 24" heavy barrel. Non flutted and non threaded as it currently sits in 308... i doubt they will change anything with the newly adopted caliber... i just bought this rifle in 308... waiting on a viper pst 6x24-50 to come in the mail any day

Talked to cabelas today about the 6.5cm. Cannot order it. Have to wait until they get stocked. He checked the system and non are ordered at this time. Hate it when they post a product but basically vaporware. As bad a finding a RPR.

This story is getting weirder by the day. Got a call from Savage a couple days ago. According to the lady from the sales department, it does NOT exist. Kind of strange the special orders department showed it was but no orders. So I send a message to cableas customer service. Got a reply stating they don't see it (even though I gave her the SKU#) but she is forwarding my request to corporate to get an answer. Will post back when I hear something.

I just shake my head when I read the responses but will post the 2 I received. Hard to believe the sales person at Savage tells me there is no 10T in 6.5CM. Thinking of caller her back just to crack her. Here they are:

I have gotten a response from our Firearm department manager. He stated that the Savage® Arms Model 10T Tactical Bolt-Action Rifle Item: IK-291722 in the 6.5 creedmore round is a new model that is exclusive to Cabela's retail stores, and was created upon our request. The vendor ships these firearms directly to our retail stores.

In March, the availability of this item will be more well known as we will be getting our first shipments in, and we encourage you to check back with us in

Thanks. Had 2 in stock. Asked them to hold one so I could drive 30 min to get it. Guy at the counter said he didn't know those were in (not the guy who held it) and may get the other one.

Yes it does have the accustock. I have a cadex chassis coming in for my 308 10T. Should turn out nice. If it works like I hope it does, will get one for the 6.5cm.
