If you are going to do that, use H4895 for reduced loads, 40gr is about 60% which is just about right.

So I got some new nosler brass. It's for 30-06 I'm looking for an opinion on loading it lite. I'm going to use hornady 150 FMJ's. I usually load them with 46.5 gr of RL15 and they shoot well at 100 yds, but I was thinking if I can drop the powder charge down cause I'm not looking for accuracy, how low can I go? I was thinking maybe 38-40 gr should be OK. What's your opinion? I'm just trying to save some powder if I can get away with it.

RUMs are like woman in Stiletto heals, you know they are going to put you in the poor house, but that has never stopped anyone from pursuing them.

I load my 308 with 12 gr of Trail Boss and get 1/2 min accuracy but that powder is hard to find. I have read that reduced loads of many other powders can create pressure problems so I would be leery.

Here you go.
