    26 Nosler

For those interested EABCO is selling 26 Nosler complete rifles on a Savage 110 action. I didn't see where they're offering just the barrel for sale yet. Quite pricey!

It appears that the 7x300 Weatherby might be offered by a vendor here for Savage enthusiests.
There wont be many big 7mms showing their tail lights to one of those either.

I'm contemplating a 28 Nosler build, but it won't be done on a Savage action due to length requirements. My plan is to have enough freebore to run the 195 Berger base at the neck/shoulder junction. Stiller Predator, Brux fluted 28" barrel, 8 1/2" twist. Manners EH1. Documented 3100-3140fps at my elevations.

Well to each his own, but id never be building an all custom gun around any 7mm bullet.
A few years ago the 180s were all the rage for 7mms. We proved to ourselves that the old
162 Hornadys got to 1200 yds quicker than the 180s in our 9 twist barrels.
And frankly after you've watched lots of deer get hit with good 7mm cartridges you will be
looking for more gun before 1200 yds. Not trying to talk down the 7mms mind you but it is what it is
and heavier better bc bullets wont change much. If I were going to invest that much in a gun, it
would be shooting 300 gr bullets at those type velocities.

Yet you tout the 7mm in your previous post....

I won't be shooting any game at 1200, we don't hunt Pennsylvania style here.
    to each their own...

Actually id tout any of them to a point. But there does come that point with all of them when shooting them at longer distances.
Those aren't just opinions, but the way it is. Will the 190s be superior to the lighter 7mms at extreme distances? Sure they will.
But for someone wanting a gun to shoot somewhat accurately shot to shot to say a mile just for fun, the argument has been long settled,
and frankly without any help from me.
