Arrow Hunting with the 99E in .308 Winchester

Have a 1961 M99E like to take out hunting this Fall. Any problems handling modern factory ammo?

Was in my Father's estate, don't remember seeing him ever shoot it.

Should have no problem with it, 308 loads haven't changed from 1961 till now.

Is the .308 the hottest caliber chambered in the M99?

My son's won't eject Winchester white box. Any other factory ammo works like a dream. It was his Grandfather's. I bet it's about the same vintage. Wonderful old rifles!
