338 Edge would be your best bet, change the bolt head & barrel then have fun!
About 10 years ago I purchased a 110FP TACTICAL in 25.06. its a 24" heavy varmint barrel. has no accutrigger! must be the trigger before the accutrigger. I planned on it being a target gun to a 1000. With hard times I wasn't able to learn, and shoot the rifle. I broke it in with about 25 rounds and has never been fired since. Its STILL a new rifle. so now 10 years later with things better I've decided to shoot again. some say to keep the 25.06 and shoot it, but I would like to find something better to shoot THAT 1500 yard mark! SO WITH KEEPING THE LONG ACTION, WHAT DO YOU RECOMMEND AS A NEW CALIBER? OR DO I SELL THE WHOLE RIFLE, AND GO TO A SMALL ACTION WITH MAYBE A 6.5-47 LAPUA???? I'm GOING TO PUT THE BARRREL AND STOCK UP FOR SALE SOON! THANKS!!!!

7mm or a 30cal...the x47 can get out there but there's not gonna be much left.
What these guys said! 7mm high bcs, 30 cal high bcs or the big 338 Edge and go for it. Theyll all fit on your LA.

The Dunning-Kruger effect is alive and well.
+1 for the 7mm-300, aka the 7mm Practical. Probably one of the best LR rounds money can buy.

I'm a firm believer in the theory that if it bleeds, I can kill it.
