Can you post a picture of your bolt head? Should be an easy one to figure out.

I've got a older model Savage Model 16 I bought use in 300 wsm. Stainless steel and threaded barrel. Blind box mag and no accutrigger. Bolt doesn't stick but pulls bullet back to ramp and won't kick bullet out unless super fast and lots of force. No ball or hole for one that I can see in the bolt. Just copper colored groove on inside of bolt. Any suggestions. Love the rifle and it's a real tack driver.

The Dunning-Kruger effect is alive and well.
There is no ejector in the bolt head, it's a controlled round feed. The ejector is a V spring that comes up through the bottom of the bolt head at the back of the bolt stroke. Check to see if it's dirty, or even there for that matter.
"As long as there's lead in the air....there's still hope.."
It is there. I can see it sticking out when the bolt is in the gun and pulled back. Now to figure out how to clean it.
