I think I am done tinkering with this one...

My .223 M12 has been a shooter out of the box, but I built it up to match my 111 in 30-06, so it got the full treatment. The only stock pieces are the action body, trigger, and most importantly, the barrel. It has been faced, and has a ptg bolt, all mounted in a Mcree Chassis!

Buddy of mine threw some rounds together with the super cheap 55gr Hornady SP's over varget at max length for my AR, and I ran out of my own handloads so said what the heck lets see what these will do...

The results: approx 1/8" groups at 100yds. I wish I had a good picture of the group I did when I made the happy face, I was shocked!

    Time to stop tinkering!

Looks like a nice setup. If you get one more thing I'd go with lower rings lol

Can't, QD's are tall go begin with, and 3006 is getting xlr chassis so need tall rings

Yes, as well as others. I am going to build a long range AR and I have another 3006 I adopted that I will use it on.

Between the savages I know how to dial it to get it within a half inch.

9 twist? Try some 77 grain SMKs over Varget.
