    Is it normal for the slide to have 1/2 to 3/4 inch of play with the bolt closed?

    I just checked my model 30 series C, it has about a half inch of play.

    My Model 30L has just under an eighth inch of play (0.115"), but it's minty so I doubt it was ever shot much.
