    odd happening

Retorqued the action screws on my 110 (50&40) and went out to burn up some perfectly good gunpowder - only the trigger pull was VERY hard. After much head scratching and bad language, I found that the trigger guard was down against the end of the trigger. A small shim out of an old playing card (4 of clubs) and all is well once more.

    ^^^

Only thing that I could imagine causing that is the base of your stock is being crushed by the action screws
    Common sense is not common

Same as above ^ I'm guessing it's not an accustock with aluminum block in it.

If your stock is flexing that much your consistency each time you need to retorque the stock will be hit and miss as the stock will be putting pressure on your action differently each time. A card shim is only a bandaid on a bigger issue
