For the most part I have bow hunted whitetail deer for the past 7 years. Before that I was also into rifle hunting as well. I have a Savage Model 110, serial number F209353. This year I am going back to rifle hunting and would like to get a little more accuracy out of my Model 110. I am thinking about bedding the stock. I was also looking at pillar bedding, but the hole at the rear tang area does not leave much room for re-drilling.. Glad to be here. Hope to get a lot of helpful information.

Welcome I cracked the lamenate on my boyds when I installed pillars but it isn't a prob just be sure to epoxy the pillar in square and it will hold fine even if you do crack it. my screws don't contact the inside walls of the pillars I drilled them out oversized and taped the action screws so there is no contact with the pillar it is meant to make solid contact with the action and lock it down tight the recoil lug takes the reward force not the pillars.
