if there are owners of unfired, nib 110 FP 25-06's out there, who would be willing to part with them, please respond.

I have one that my 2 sons and I use for ground hog and predator hunting. We all have become so confident with this particular rifle, so I would like to get one for each of my boys. but Savage doesn't make them anymore in this caliber. We don't want the LRH, the only heavy offering currently available.

if you have one nib, I'd be willing to pay substantially more than your original purchase price. To be able to give my boys one of these would mean a lot to me.

I realize this is a big shot in the dark, but willing to "embarrass" myself just in case the opportunity,albeit understandably rare, might exist.

Over the last 12 years, this 110FP has taken
1 groundhog at 762 yds, 1 at 680, 4 others at 600+, 23 between 500 and 600, 67 between 400 and 500, and 176 below 400.
9 coyotes, one which was a running shot at 275 yds
My eldest son's first whitetail. 245 yds. my son was 10.
my youngest son's first groundhog. 150 yds. My son was 8.
both sons first foxes.

The benchmark accuracy for this gun was set in 2008
Federal brass, neck sized and .0015 shoulder bump, 210m primer, 47.6 grain I4064, 75 vmax. .008 from rifling. Best 5 shot .18" group. Average 5 shot group that year (20 groups, 1/week from April to September) was 0.38".

Remington brass, neck sizes and .0015 shoulder bump, 215m primer, 51.5 g re19, 110 accubond, .033 from rifling, best 5 shot .42" group.
average 5 shot group that year (18 groups, 1/week from October to February) was 0.64".

This rifle now has over 1800 rounds on the original barrel. Last summer the vmax groups averaged 0.58; this winter the accubonds averaged 0.78 but just 2 weeks ago I achieved just under 0.5 with the accubond. I have kept the LTL constant with a few OAL adjustments through the years, and I'm now at 47.8 g 4064 for the vmax and 51.9 re19 for the accubond (adjustment required for throat erosion).

Never Changed a thing on the stock rifle. No bedding, no stock adjustments, only adjusted the accutrigger to lightest setting possible.

This rifle has become a part of me.

With taxes i paid 430 for this gun new. I wouldn't take 2000 for it in its current state.

but would gladly pay 1000 for one for my boys if it was nib.

I know you're really set on the 110FP...but have you looked into the Savage 111 FCNS? I almost bought this in a 25-06, but they didn't have it in stock...so i settled for a Tikka (I don't regret that whatsoever.)

Really want the bull barrel weight of the 110fp. This model also has the 1.5 lb accutrigger (mine adjust to 1 lb 11oz minimum)

really want the SAME rifle. Extremely consistent setup.
