Hunted a couple hours south yesterday and got this nice pig. Shot at about 75 yards with my 110 in 270win using Barnes ttsx 130gr. About 30 pigs burst into a big opening and took off up a hill. Most were running directly away from me but this one was quartering away so had a very nice shot and it was a one shot, bang, flop type deal. This is California's central coast area around Paso Robles. Covering lots of ground and glassing for them is the norm. This group just happened to run out in front of us at the right time.

About a #150 dry sow so should be good eating. At the butcher now to be made into a couple types of sausage.

A picture of the country we were hunting. We were up in the hills in the background, not the flats.

And a picture of the pig.
