    Apache Gun Works wait time?

I ordered a Savage small shank, 22 in, sporter profile SS .358 win barrel from Apache Gun Works and got the invoice back on 10-5-15. I have sent several e-mails and have received no reply. Those of you that have ordered barrels from this maker, how long is the turn around time? Is he still in business? Any one else having trouble getting e-mails back from him? I hate to call and bother him but don't like being in the dark. If there is a problem, and there is anything I can do on my end then I will do so promptly.

I've been in communication with him. He said the longest part is waiting for the blank manufacturer to get him the blanks.

I just ordered a .243 barrel from him, and he said it would be 1-2 months.

The blanks are the longest wait time. I ordered my barrel 12-10-15 and he just got the blank a week or two ago. I'm sure the wait will be worth it though. The gun industry is crazy right now and wait times are long everywhere from the looks of it.

I ordered an X caliber .243 Win barrel on 10-22-15. Last week I emailed him and he answered that he was waiting for the blank.

I ordered an X-Cal .243 Winchester in September and am still waiting for it, however I also ordered a standard .338 Federal barrel in November and got it three or four weeks later.

Ordered two X-caliber barrels directly, one prefit and one blank. Had both in 6 weeks.

Ordered back in October as well. I've been in contact with him as well. Still waiting on my X-Caliber 7mm 1-8 twist blank right now for my 7mmMag build. 308 and 6.5mm blanks are the priority of most barrel makers right now. I'll be waiting on my oddball barrel for awhile. Jim was only one offering 7mm 1-8 twist prefit barrels.

Just talked to Jim yesterday, hes been sick the last few weeks, and is behind. Waiting on blanks is the biggest hold up right now.

I sent a message to check on mine just before I learned about all the flooding down there.
