Midway has Norma 300 win mag brass in stock.
I just ordered some. Anyone have any experiences with it? Any idea how it compares to others as far as case capacity? I've never used it (because I haven't seen it in stock anywhere until now).
Thanks
Leo

Not sure about Norma brass but I noticed quite a difference between Remington, Winchester and Federal 300 WM brass capacities. Enough to cause overpressure if you cram a charge from one in the other! Quickload, in fact specified different capacities for each brand of brass. Threw me off at first. Measure it and let us know!
Thanks,
It appears that the Norma can handle a hotter load than the Hornady without showing pressure sighs. So I'm assuming it has more capacity than the Hornady.
PS:
I was VERY impressed when measuring and weighing the new Norma brass, very consistent compared to the Hornady or others I have tried
According to Quickload;
Norma=95.5 gr/h2o
Winchester=93.8 gr/h2o
Federal=92 gr/h2o
Remmington=88 gr/h2o
Pretty big spread there! Don't go dumping those charges you worked up with those NORMA cases into some Remmington brass!
Wow, no kidding.
Thanks for the info.
I wonder where the Hornady falls in that group?
When selecting 300 winmag cartridge, there are several options to chose from:
300 winmag (R)
300 winmag (W)
300 winmag (N)
300 winmag (F)
300 winmag (@)
All with varying case capacity.
I'm assuming these are for the various brands. But you should never assume anything when reloading!
B.t.w. I haven't noticed these different options for any other cartridge besides the 300 win mag since I only load that and some handgun stuff?

Best to measure with water and know for sure!
