Welcome aboard
Hello to All. I'm an avid Savage 1899/99 collector and when my dad was a alive, it was his passion too. Since his passing, I've inherited his substantial collection of rifles in various calibers and have carried on with his memory by continuing to buy and sell lever-action Savages. I hope to gain some additional information about the numerous variations of 99's from this site and hope to make some new friends who share my passion. I also have a small collection of Savage parts that my dad left me and if your looking for something that might help your fix or restore you rifles, I might have it. I'm restoring a Savage Hi-Power take down now and could use some help with finding some parts for the take down latch. I've seemed to lost the spring to hold tension on the latch, the escutcheon to holds in the machine screw and the hex lug that mounts inside the fore end to ease off the barrel during the take down process. Any help would be appreciated!!!!
