Model 14 stock on a model 16?

I have a model 16 in 260 Remington with the plastic stock and would like to replace it with a wood stock. Will a model 14 stock with a bottom bolt release work on my 16 with the same bolt release? Will my trigger guard and bottom metal work on the 14 stock?
