Stevens Model 311A

Greetings.

I am very happy to have found this site. I have wanted a solid boxlock side by side for some time. Today I had the opportunity to purchase a very good condition 311A. I was wondering if any of you could help me identify the year of make? It is a 12ga with 28" barrels that I think from the other data I have found should be M/F. It should make for a fine pheasant, quail and rabbit gun here in Nebraska where I live. Thank you for your time. Below are how the markings are on the guns receiver under the barrels:

Try Mark at "Marks Born Again Birdguns" he really knows doubles he should be able to help you. Last year I bought a "Train Wreck" of 311 in 16ga.for $65 at a gun action and Mark restored it completely.

I had a 311A, bought it for $125 refinished the stock.....traded it for a new Colt Detective 38 spl last year.

Anyways mine was pre 1968, there was no serial number. Chances are if yours has no serial number it was pre 68' and would be hard to track down the year it was made.
