    Savage 65m 22 mag question

I bought one of a guy I worked with a few years ago and to this day haven't figured out how to get the bolt out to clean it real good. Does anyone have any info on how to get the bolt out of it even does come out.

If there's no bolt release try holding the trigger in and removing it.

Don't own a 65M so this is just a guess, works for some rimfires.

It's not like the MkII Model 93 style. This one you have to remove the action from the stock. Then remove the rear tang part of the receiver. There are a couple roll pins to lower the trigger assembly. The safety lever will fall out at that time. When you get enough parts loose the bolt will slide out the back. Pay attention to the alignment of the bolt, handle and metal guide. Clean... Install in reverse.

This is very much like a Mossberg 640k if you want to look at an exploded diagram. Numrich Gunparts has one on their site.
