    PTG recoil lug question

I am building a 6.5creedmoor with a bison barrel and I was looking at the lugs from PT&G and they have lug with different thicknesses up to .250. This is a 110 LA gun and I am not sure witch one to get for my application. Thanks.

It is common to use a 1/4" recoil lug that is precision ground. The key is to have a precision ground one rather than the factory stamped version.

Ok, but why would they have them in varying thicknesses? Thanks, I am new to this so I am just trying to learn.

That's a good question. I'm anxious to hear the reason for different thicknesses.

Because this is America. More is better! :-)

Really, anything around .250" is plenty. Precision ground is the way to go.
