    Hog Hunter .223 vs .308?

    Hi shooters!

Im debating which caliber would be best? im torn between the two. I will mostly be hitting paper at 100-200 yards, and eventually hunting with the rifle. what are everyones thoughts?

If hunting includes medium or big game, go with the 308. JMHO :-)

I second this opinion . Better to have enough gun to start with .

Some places the .223 would be too small to hunt with. Hunting regulations vary, but check the websites of the states you want to hunt in to see what the minimum caliber is. That could determine which you buy. If its coyote or smaller, the .223 would be fine. I agree with the above, if its something like deer, go the route of the .308.
