160 Grain Bullets and the 6.5-.284 Norma

I have a box of .264 caliber 160 grain Hornady Round Nose bullets. Looking to develop some loads with for my 6.5-.284 Norma. I have Retumbo, H4831 SC, H4350 or VV550 at my disposal. Any recommendations? What velocities are you achieving with the 160 grains?

You need H1000 or Retumbo 55gr of either for 2600fps, or 50gr of IMR7828 for 2500fps, 45gr of H4831 "near max" will only get you 2400fps. H4350 and VV550 are both to fast.

RUMs are like woman in Stiletto heals, you know they are going to put you in the poor house, but that has never stopped anyone from pursuing them.

How much different would your choices be for the 160gr matrix VLD?

It is still a 160gr bullet even though there are differences to them, so the load data will be close to being the same as will the fps. And at those speeds you will not get the full benefits of that VLD bullet.
