All you need is a blind mag CF stock and the L clip that holds the mag in place.
Some aftermarket stocks do not need the L clip as the mag well is tight enough to hold it in place.
Very easy swap and certainly an easy way to shed a little weight.
Hello All,
I have a Weather warrior in 270 win with the accu-stock and trigger. Trying to convert it to a blind mag to loose a little weight.
Whats the easiest way to go about doing this, call Savage or someone else for the parts?
For those who have done this, any disadvantages or issues I should know about?
Regards,
Josh

Thanks Clint...I was hoping it would be that easy. Is Savage parts department the best place to order the parts?

I would become a member here so you can have access to the classifieds. Excellent source for factory and aftermarket parts.

Good call...will check it out. Thanks again.
Well....I called savage today and they said I cannot do it since its a bottom release (bolt release in front of trigger guard). Apparently there are no blind magazine stocks for bottom release models.
Not sure whats next...
Any other ideas?
My Boyds stock was a blind mag CF stock, meant for a top release action, and my Hog Hunter stock is the same. Both fit my bottom-release action and the bottom release trigger guard, only leaving a gap on the top right hand side of the stock where the top bolt release should be.
I wouldn't guarantee you that every top release stock would work for you, but those two fit and fed fine. So, if you can get yourself a long action CF stock for a top release, you should be able to make it work. Even if it's a stagger feed, you could most likely make it work fine. I did that with one of my B&C's.
