I found a really good deal and bought a new kreiger 6mm dasher barrel and it is fit for a small shank savage with no barrel nut. What is the biggest diameter barrel that will fit though a barrel nut for a small shank savage. I am pretty sure this on wont fit just because it is a 1.25" straight taper. I was just curious
you could have it turned down farther back and a longer threaded section put on it so the barrel nut will fit, but dont know how good it will look with a shoulder on it that doesnt tighten up to anything. I believe someone here has done this before if I remember correctly. Maybe Sinman, but not sure.

Got a couple of straight pipes that measure 1.066. (with the nut)
