How to break in a new 22 mag barrel?

What do you do with a new barrel? Iv researched and see alot pertaining to 22lr and centerfire break ins..but nothing specific to the 22 mags. I have put about 70 shots through it and ran a boresnake through it a few times and that's it. I'd like to use jb borepaste through it if its beneficial to accuracy, but since I can't seem to be able to use a boreguide on the model 93 I'm reluctant to touch it with a rod and brush.

Rimfires never get cleaned. Even target shooters never clean them unless accuracy drops off.
I just wipe off the outside of my 22 mag once in a while.

    3 step process:
    1. Shot it
    2. Shot it more
    3 keep shooting it

I have a semi auto Savage from the mid 70's that has never been cleaned. It has shot many buckets of bullets. It still shoots, and it still shoots accurate. It has made me rethink my cleaning regimen.

I am surprised to hear this. I have been cleaning my .22 rifles regularly. Maybe I have been wasting my time all these years?

I suppose it could depend on copper fouling, or lack of. I inherited a 1960s Savage 22WMR with no idea the # of rounds or if it was cleaned often or at all. It had very little copper but mostly powder fouling and a ring near the chamber. POA was the same before and after cleaning. It does well with Winchester 45 Dynapoint ammo.
