Be careful. I believe that is the gas sealing screw.
So after much research after buying a 220, I decided on Leupold scope, bases and rings.
Went with Ultimate Slam 3-9X40, dual dovetail bases and dd low rings. Everything mounted beautifully except for this here.

This "screw" or whatever it is on the power ring won't let me turn it past 4.5X without contacting the base. As you can see I only need <1mm clearance. I don't want to go with medium rings as the cheek weld and every other aspect of the scope mount are perfect.
My plan is marking it and getting a mill file and taking a couple strokes to the base to get clearance to turn the power ring without it hanging up.
Be careful. I believe that is the gas sealing screw.

Went ahead and milled the base down less than a mm with a file. Worked beautifully.
