Just got a Stevens/Savage 887.

Any ideas where I may be able to check the serial # so I can see how old it is? Thanks.

I was curious what an 887 is and found a picture of a restoration project on a 887. It shows the serial number on the barrel opposite the bolt slide.

This is a tube feed .22LR. Have not found out where you can check the number series though.

Looks like that one is in great shape. The one this other guy is restoring is a real mess. He got it from his Uncle.
