    Light weight stock

I want to replace the heavy accustock in my model 10 with a light stock for a light walk about rifle.

    Any suggestions?

I've got a model 10 poly stock that came with my 10P. She's really light. Interested?

If you don't mind me asking, how much does your stock weigh? Lightweight quality options are not cheap and are not "now".
The Dunning-Kruger effect is alive and well.

The accustock weighs about 2.5 lbs - I'm looking for something half that weight.

I'm also looking for a replacement bolt handle - believe we can save some weight there too.

This gun is a scout rifle in 7.62x39 - I will only use this for under 150 yds so I really want it to be light. I understand that I may be sacrificing accuracy but I think a light stock, perhaps bedded right and in the hands of someone who knows their equipment, it will be good enough for what the intended purpose is.

    Thoughts?

The MDT LSS chassis comes in at about 1.6 lbs... But then you have to add the AR buffer, stock and grip. It's just aluminum.
