Reply With Quoteis it a long action Axis Stock? If it is you could just get a long action Axis mag and run it that way. Not sure your rifle is chambered in, but if it's anything 308 basd it will run fine out of a 30-06 LA Mag.
I ordered a new stock for my Axis from Boyd's. I ordered the long action stock instead on the short action stock. My mistake, not Boyd's. Since I ordered the stock with a Limbsaver recoil pad, it's a custom stock and can't be returned or exchanged. So I have a stock I can't use and I'm out $173. Again my fault, not Boyd's but still disappointed. I'll be more careful next time.

Thanks hadn't thought of that. It's a 7mm-08. I'll give it a try.
You should be fine with the 7-08. And you'll never run out of mag length if you run some longer heavy pills in it.
