    1946 99 EG .300 Lever

New to SavageShooters. My lever started jumping the groove machined into Part 99-25. Actually the little pencil-eraser size button on the lever is showing some wear. Can a competent gunsmith rebuild the button, dress it smooth and expect it to work?

I'd grab another lever, theres usually a couple on Ebay at all times or try Numrichs.

Just make sure it's a curved lever and not a straight grip lever off one of the old 1899's.

A smith could build it up and rework it but I'd think it would be easier to just replace the old one.

Helping guys find parts is fine as long as your not openly starting threads to sell them but this thread was started in January, doubt he's still around.
