    FCP 110 Precition .338 Lapua

I've been reloading my .338 Lapua regularly with Lapua brass and 300gr Scenar bullets. It shoots awesome with Retumbo powder. Wanted to try something different so I recently purchased a box of 250gr Scenar bullets and can't seem to find any reloading data. No idea where to start with powder amounts or if I should even try another powder. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Hopefully someone out there is using this combo and can help.

Are you looking for a recipe so you wont have to work a load up?
The Dunning-Kruger effect is alive and well.

yes. That would make for a great place to start. I like the Retumbo powder, it seems to work magic with the 300gr Scenar bullets. If I have to change powders for the 250gr Scenar bullet, then so be it. Was thinking of using the reloading data from a comparable bullet like the 250gr HPBT from Sierra.

Yes, just use data for the SMK. Bullet mass is the same. Once you find a load with the 250gr Scenar, it may not shoot well with a 250gr SMK, but it will at least give you a workable charge range.

Thanks for the help Winnie. I was thinking about that but didn't know if it would apply, but it's a great starting point.
