    New to me rifle

Just snagged a used but good condition model 10 with the heavy barrel, 375$

I usually just lurk but finally joined up since I now have a savage. This isn't my bolt gun ive had a bunch over the years but this is the first savage.

It's a flat back with staggered mag. and probably the 4.5 spacing but i havent measured yet. just got the gun this morning. What are there for good aftermarket stocks? I kinda like the m40 style stocks and really want to stay away from the A5 styles. The plan is to do a multipurpose rifle good for hunting and good for long range fun, it wont be a bench gun.

As for a scope I have a weaver tactical just sitting around that I was gonna put on it.

Just depends on what you like, and can tolerate. I've been lugging Painless around hunting, with a Choate Ultimate Sniper stock for about a decade.
I'm a firm believer in the theory that if it bleeds, I can kill it.
