    17 remington headspace question


    Does the 17 Remington use the same head space gauges as the 223 Rem.?

    According to Sinclair, No.

    The shoulder of the 223 case is moved back 0.087" and the shoulder angle remains the same when forming the 17. This moves the datum line back and necessitates the use of different gauges for the .17
