    Mag box swap ?

I have a left hand Model 11 internal box centerfeed that came from the factory as a 7-08. I swapped the barrel to a .250 Savage and find that if the rounds are not loaded to the very front of the mag the gun will not feed properly. The top round slides down and the bullet tip hits the bottom face of the barrel. Do I need a new mag box or just a follower and spacer. I intend to swap between .250 Savage and .22-250, so I could modify the mag lips if that is a possibility. How have you guys handled this problem? Thanks in advance.

I think you will have to fit a wood spacer in the mag box so your rounds sit closer to the front of the magazine. Of course, you'll have to modify the follower too.
