Got it stock from dicks over a year ago . It came with a bushell scope 4x12 .. Which I just upgraded to a vortex viper 6.5x20. It has been sub moa out of the box at 100/200 yds.. But I'm hoping the scope will help me out to get to 300/400 yds. But I'm looking to upgrade the stock and maybe a new barrel .. One of the svivel studs stripped on the front so I had to move the bipod back to the second one .. Any info on an easy fix or is a new stock in order ?

    Welcome.

I would fill the hole with JB weld and reinsert the swivel stud. Should hold alright.

I agree with Fox. Any bedding agent or slow cure epoxy will fix your issue.

    Options:
    1. You can use epoxy to glue the stud in place.
    2. Fill the hole with epoxy, redrill, retap.
    3. Coat the screw in release agent, put some epoxy in the hole, screw in the stud.

I like #3. It's worth a try. Easier than #2 and still allows you to remove it later if you need / want to for any reason. Worst that can happen is it doesn't work and then you do what I said. :)
