    Odd savage model 11

So I opened a Christmas present today and found a wonderful surprise a new savage model 11. So I decided to do a little research on the interweb about the gun and I'll be ****ed if I can't find any info on this gun. So I decided to turn to the experts on here. It is a savage model 11 chambered in .243 with a bull barrel and a bushnell 4-12x40 scope. It has the accutrigger and a full floated barrel. I couldn't even find this gun on the savage website any info would be much appreciated. Thank you, Sean

You can go to Savage Arms website (after they reopen from Christmas vacation), find the "Store" tab, scroll down to "part finder" and enter your serial number. You'll get a full description and parts list of your gun.

If it came from Dicks or Cabelas it may be a model specifically made for that store particularly if it came with the scope installed.

If you can describe it more, or provide pics, someone here might save you the trouble of looking it up.

For instance, is the stock plastic, have an Accustock sticker, laminated wood, camo? Does it have a removable magazine?

It has a black synthetic stock, non accustock, detachable box magazine and two sling swivels studs at the front of the stock only a couple inches apart.

And is the box included with the rifle? If so, the SKU# on the end flap, when entered into google, provides a plethora of information....

I think it is a 11vt, can somebody tell me why there are two sling studs so close together?

i agree it sounds like a savage 11 VT from dicks sporting goods i own 2

a few things to note with the VT rifles the stocks are flimsy and the plastic bottom metal will make your stock upgrade search interesting to say the least.

however i got a list of some stocks that work but both of my VT rifles shot sub moa right out of the box with a good hand load
