    Savage 110 action

    Hey everyone,
I am curious. What, if any, can be done to a Savage 110 action to make it competition worthy?

That's pretty easy to answer, but I guess the big question is to compete in what?

You can give your 110 action an aftermarket trigger, an aftermarket stock, an after market recoil lug, and prep your brass right, develop a load, the right scope, and you can compete depending on you.

That action is a good starting point for many great builds. Have fun.

Other tan time the action and tune/replace the trigger, the Savage is as good as any other factory action out there.

The ability to switch barrels and boltheads on a whim is the HUGE advantage.

For instance - if you shot in a class that only allowed factory 22" sporter barrels in 223...install the barrel after changing your bolthead.

....and...an hour later, you had a 1000 yard long range stage to do...no problem....put your xxx caliber barrel/bolthead combo on...and shoot the course.

......and...an hour later, you wanted to finish the day at your local honey hole of prairie dog or coyote calling valley, no problem...swap the barrel/bolthead and go.
