    Disgruntled in Texas

    Hello fellow shooters.

I've been living in Texas almost two years now. Escaped to here after 25 years in Sodom on the Willamette. Never been happier.

I only own one Savage firearm. It's a 10 FCP HS Precision in .308

I've had it for several years but have never actually fired it. Never had the time or range access in Oregon and haven't joined a range here in Texas yet. That's coming soon. I need to get some trigger time on my long guns.

    Anyway Howdy all.

    Welcome to savageland,
you don't need to join a range to plink with your squirrel rifle.
call and talk to the texas DNR and they will point you to state land where you can rat ta ta ta ta rat ta ta away.
Here in Michigan, I found out from a forum member that you can shoot on state land, we use a map on DNRs website to locate zones.
