new to forum, thinking .222 remington?

    Howdy.
Several years ago, i had a savage synthetic stocked blind magazine. 223 with accu trigger.
Silly me i let it go in a trade for a colt python.
But i always wishes it had been a .222
I'm not up on savage rifles. I don't know the model numbers or the action numbers.
does savage make anything like my old rifle?

    I see savage makes one.
But not exactly what I'm looking for..
    The search continues. ...

Build what you want. Cheap and easy.
The Dunning-Kruger effect is alive and well.

The rifle you described with a blind mag, Accutrigger, and polymer stock sounds like my Model 12FV, but the closest chamberings for those rifles are .223 Remington and .22-250. It looks like Savage only makes Model 25s in .222 Remington. I know nothing about 25s other than they're entirely different from the 10/110 family of rifles.

Among forum sponsors who offer Savage prefits, only Sin Arms seems to offer that chambering in their barrels as a standard option. Other ones may be able to make it happen though.

I had a model 25 in 222. It was good and I think Boyds now has aftermarket stocks for them. I am not sure if ejection would be 100% on a standard short action due to the shorter case lenght. I am sure someone on here will be able to point you in the best direction.
