I would like to put a new stock on my 116 in 7mm this is my primary hunting rifle. I have had a little trouble finding and AFFORDABLE left handed stock. Any Sugestions? I would like to keep it synthetic

If it's a stagger feed then the B&C Carbelite is made in a LH config. if you want inexpensive.

A Stockade Money Saver is available in LH and they go for $175.

    +1

I bought a black duramax, cut the left bolt port, and then when I got sick of staring at that ugly hole on the right side I filled it in with some bondo and painted it with some krylon paint. Easy to do! just be patient (especially if you are using a dremel tool)

the duramax imho is one of the best buys for the money. plenty rigid for me and a good recoil pad to boot.

What about the detachable box how do I get around that it doesnt look like the aftermarket stocks are set up for those and if I go with a right handed stock and notch it out will the mag release button be on the wrong side

    Re: Lefty Stock recomendations

no one made a synthetic for that style gun that I am aware of. I just got done searching for a stock after mine was broken during shipping. No one ever responded to me that they could or could not make a stock to replace my broken left hand stock. I contacted most of the makes and am proud to say not a single one answered!!!!!

Oh well... I was looking also. Glad/sad I 'm not the only one to never get an answer. Guess I'll get by with the factory wood for now.
