    Ruger 22/45

Last year I had bought a used MKII 22/45 from my hunting partner. After shooting his new one with a suppressor I went and bought this:

    And then I ordered this:

That guy gets me in more trouble than my old drinking buddies. :)

I know Pat (82boy) recently bought one of the new 22/45's and he loves it.

Welcome to the MK III fold!

My wife and I both have MK III 22/45s - wife's is a Lite. Aside from being finicky with Remington Golden Bullets, I can run pretty much anything through it and get great results. Mine has shot four NSSF Rimfire Challenge matches (and all the training through the rest of the four years) without so much as a mild hiccup - my ability to shoot is a different matter. We put the Volquartsen accurizing kit in both and it made a great gun even better.

I'm considering the Volquartsen accurizing kit, the trigger is a bit stiffer than what I like. I've put around 200 rounds of the Rem. golden bullets through this one without any issues, so far it has worked well with any ammo I've tried.

I'll stick with my MKIII Hunter as it's been a proven money winner when I happen to remember which Sunday is pistol match day. It's got all the Volquartsen goodies in it.

Nice pistol. Sometimes I think that I should have kept the 22/45 Target and just had the barrel threaded for the suppressor. Not that this new one is bad, but stainless looks a lot better.
