    Redding micrometer zeroing

Read the instructions on setting the zero. Do you set the reading on the micrometer to equal the length to the ogive of the bullet you are loading assuming you are going to stick to that bullet . So you use the hex key to screw down, or up the set screw in the top of the meter.

Lets say my length ot ogive is 2.942 using a comparator but the seating die reads 2.750 and I want it to read the same as the comparator. What exactly do I do to make that happen. This is where I probably need to work with a dummy round until its right and make small adjustments by screwing the hex screw in and backing the meter out. Is this right?

Yes...takes a little tuning but you have the right idea.

Yeah, just make adjustments between the locking lug and what the reading on the micrometer is. Takes a little time but once you get it settled in, tighten the lug and forget about it. Should go to the same spot every time.
