    99f 250-3000

Was given a 99F in 250-3000 and it is a hunter (scoped). The serial number is 776xxx. Anyone have an idea on the born on date...?

On the piece of steel that protrudes from the lower receiver that the lever attaches to ( lever boss) there should be a couple numbers and a letter stamped into the front. Give us the letter and we can tell the date it was built.

Should be 1956. That year and model was factory drilled and tapped so the value should not necessarily be diminished by the scope.
