Well done, 35! Lots of good venison with just one shot! I've doubled on hogs and 'yotes, but never on deer.
Sunday morning sitting in my ground blind, shooting time was open for about 30 minutes. I closed my eyes, for about 30 seconds, as they were playing tricks on me. Opened them slowly, and I was being watched from about 25 yards away. Well trying to move slowly to get my rifle up, Busted, they run about two hundred yards away, looking for me, but I was down on one knee behind my big pine tree. Lined up on the biggest doe, then the second one behind her as fell. Using my Model 10 with 260AI 129 gr. SST 2785 fps. What a bullet!
Sorry no 35 Whelen this year, still working on that 35 Whelen AI

Sweet, I have always liked the look of a black action and a stainless barrel.

RUMs are like woman in Stiletto heals, you know they are going to put you in the poor house, but that has never stopped anyone from pursuing them.
Awsome.....meat in the freezer
SST has become the favorite here in 308 and 270. Just the best bang flop for buck so to speak.
