Yeah you know like the people who drive a thousand miles to see Pikes Peak.
Then take pictures of themselves standing next to a dirty car with the peak
    just showing above the roof.
Never mind the nice 8 point, show us the gun and tell us what bullet you used lol.

Sorry folks!,, I do have a picture of the rifle built the same way as this year just for deer hunting,, although it is in a picture from last year's 8 pointer.

The said rifle was originally a 10 FP .308 Law Enforcement Model.

I have put an ER Shaw .308 SS varmint contour barrel on it painted black. I use a B&C Varmint stock and have skim bedded the action after removing the L clip. I secure the mag by other means. I have lapped the bolt lugs to the action.
I have used the Centerpoint 4-16X scope since 2009 taking lots of small and big game,, and target shooting.

The rifle shoots amazing with cold clean bore shot's, and shoots small groups with

    Reloder 15
    168 Hornady HPBT
    Lapua brass
    Federal 210M primer

    And some more pic's,,,,

The screw I chamfer tip of bullet with.

Here's that Sniper's Hide cold bore challenge I did a couple years ago with exact same ammo and rifle. These were 3 shot groups on 5 different days.

I am in Dansville N.Y. which is about an hour south of Rochester. I hunt on my uncles's property on the outside of Canaseraga N.Y. about 10 minutes from my home in Dansville. My uncle's properties border with the eastern edge of the Canaseraga State forest that joins to the Ossian State forest which joins to Rattle Snake Hill Wildlife reserve spreading about 8 miles to the west.. Good hunting land,, it's mostly in Allegahny county but most of my kills are at my uncle's farm in Livingston county. He has around 1,300 acre's.

I can shoot out to 1000 yards or further, he also has a gravel pit that I use for a back stop for long range shooting.

I change this rifle to a .223 in the late winter, I use a McGowen 1/7 bull barrel for small game animals and also compete at mach's with it.

    Regards,
    Dan

It's a small world,, I know several of the Cartwright's and can hunt coyotes on there land. I have only bagged about 4-5 coyotes n my life so far but plan on hunting them as soon as my shoulder get's better. I had a second surgery on my right shoulder on Monday of this week and it is once again PAINFUL.

P.S. Last time at the Maple Tree Inn I downed 14 pancakes LOL And if you like their sausage, it was my great great grandmother's original recipy now being made at my families Wilson's Beef Farm's.

I hope the shoulder feels better soon. Sounds to me like a good excuse to get a .204 Ruger barrel. Love my model 12.

Yes I do love the sausage as much as the pancakes. My personal best is 11 with light syrup. **** it you have me beat on the 1.

I found another good farm in Hinsdale, it is a Buffalo ranch. Like making burgers with it in the summer. I wish they would open a small restaurant. It would be a nice place to ride to on the Harley.

Well, I really want a 6 Dasher now and I guess I'll have to shoot left handed for a while when I can gain some more function in my arm. I can shoot almost as good left handed off the bench. I'm dying to try out some Bart's 105's I have loaded up for my 6 br. I'm going to let my friend test shoot them sometime this week. He is an expert shooter and I hope he can drill a couple one hole test groups with it. I'll report back with the result.

Cool, We are going over next week,, they have real maple syrup and I try to get down as much as possible because it's all you can eat buckwheat pancakes and syrup.

Last year we did a tow job for Laverne and He gave us a bunch of gallon jugs. I had that syrup everyday for weeks until it was gone. I ate pancakes pretty much every day and used the syrup on every thing including burger's and fries. Even had a drink or two of it.LOL
